Photo voter ID is a significant part of ensuring the security and integrity of elections in Alabama.
That is why, when Alabama was sued over our photo voter ID requirement, in an attempt to strike it down, I was glad I could serve as the Secretary of State’s representative in that litigation under Rule 30(b)(6) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
As the Secretary of State’s representative in that case, I spent approximately 10 hours having attorneys take my deposition and answering questions regarding our photo voter ID law and its implementation.
I am proud to have had such a significant role in defending our photo voter ID law, a law which survived that attack.
